A business product is a good, service or information that an organization produces for sale to its customers. It may be tangible, such as a toothbrush or an Olympic athlete’s pole, or intangible, like a concept or an idea. The business product may be sold to businesses or individuals.
The term “business product” is sometimes used to refer specifically only to products bought by businesses, but it can also be applied more broadly, to any goods or services that companies buy from outside sources, whether they are buying them from other companies or from consumers. The difference between a consumer product and a business product is that consumers generally purchase products for their own use, while companies buy them to produce more of their own products or to sell on to other businesses or to consumers.창업아이템
There are several different types of business products, each with its own set of benefits and features. Durable business products are referred to as capital items, while nondurable products that are used up in less than a year are called expense items. Major capital installations, such as conveyor systems or large commercial ovens, are also referred to as business assets, while other investments are classified as operating expenses.
The item category determines how the system processes a sales document item. It controls such functions as pricing, whether or not a billing block is set, and whether or when the item should be considered completed. Item categories are defined in the material master record, and the standard item category groups are NORM for materials that are kept in inventory and DIEN for services and free-of-charge items. If the standard item category group is not the right one for your needs, you can define new ones in customization.후토루
The display name is the text that appears to the end user when he works with the business item. It can be changed, and a meaningful description should be entered in order to make the business item easy for users to understand. The implementation property is a value that identifies a business object or WSDL message on which the business item depends. It can be changed, but should be consistent with the way the business item is created. The business item type defines which inventory and sales document processes can be used for the item. Physical goods, such as bicycles or telephones, can be managed with all inventory processes. Other items, such as subscriptions or software licenses, can only be billed, and are not managed in inventory.
